Richard Greenleaf Killed in Head-On Collision on Camino Del Rio North in Mission Valley
San Diego, California (July 28, 2021) – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has disclosed the identity of a man who died days after a car crash in Mission Valley San Diego.
The collision happened in the 3400 block of Camino Del Rio North, between Interstates 15 and 805, last week Tuesday.
At about 3:58 p.m. on July 20, the California Highway Patrol was notified of a collision on Camino Del Rio North.
The officers established that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the highway when it drifted into the eastbound lanes and collide head-on with a car driven by Richard Greenleaf, 93, of San Diego.

Greenleaf was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he died on Sunday, July 25.
The condition of the other driver was not immediately disclosed.
The roadway was temporarily blocked as the authorities processed the scene.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
