Sukhjot Singh Dhillon and Ranjit Singh Dhillon Killed in Highway 20 Car Crash near North Humphrey Road
Sutter County, California (July 13, 2021) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office has disclosed the identities of two people who were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Sutter County last week Tuesday.
The deadly collision occurred on Highway 20 near North Humphrey Road at about 2:30 p.m. July 6, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a GMC 3500 was heading eastbound on Highway 20 when it crashed into the rear of a Nissan Titan driven by 19-year-old Sukhjot Singh Dhillon, of Yuba City.
2 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 20 in Sutter County Identified
The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to veer into the westbound lanes where it crashed into a Kenworth big rig and burst into flames.
Sukhjot Singh and his passenger, 63-year-old Ranjit Singh Dhillon, were killed in the accident.
Both drivers of the GMC and the big rig were transported to area hospitals for evaluation.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as factors in the crash.
