Phillip Rosas Killed in Walnut Car Accident at East Valley Boulevard and North Grand Avenue
Walnut, California (May 10, 2022) – Phillip Rosas, 8, has been identified as the boy who succumbed to his injuries following a fiery crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Walnut.
The deadly collision happened at about 1:50 a.m. at East Valley Boulevard and North Grand Avenue.
According to the authorities, Rosas was traveling in a car with three other people when another hit their car at the intersection.
One car burst into flames and the other knocked down a fire hydrant.
Rosas and another child sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Sadly, Rosas succumbed to his injuries.
Another child remains in critical condition.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the driver of the other car, and he is expected to face charges of vehicular manslaughter.
