Lancaster, California (May 26, 2021) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle at an intersection in Lancaster, Los Angeles, on Monday morning.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Avenue J-8 and Challenger Way at about 11:54 a.m. May 24.

A woman was driving a Honda westbound on J-8 when she failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and struck the motorcycle that was traveling northbound on Challenger Way.

The motorcyclist, 33-year-old Nicholas Descisciolo, was ejected from the motorcycle which then crashed into a Kia that was stopped at a red light.

Descisciolo, a resident of Lake Hughes, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

More information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
