Nicholas Cooper Killed in Ventura Motorcycle Crash on Highway 150
Ventura, California (August 18, 2022) – Nicholas Ryan Cooper, 38, of Santa Barbara, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car in Ventura on Tuesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on Highway 150 just west of Lake Casitas at around 2:35 p.m.
Cooper was riding a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound when he veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 2022 Mazda CX-9 SUV.
Copper sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 30-year-old Carpinteria woman who was driving the SUV suffered minor cuts on her feet.
More details about the crash were not available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
