San Bernardino, California (July 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was airlifted after being seriously injured in a collision in Apple Valley on Sunday.

The motorcycle accident happened near the intersection of Navajo Road and Ramona Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A motorcycle was reportedly attempting to pass a car when another car swerved to avoid the motorcycle. The driver was unable to avoid a collision and struck the motorcycle before crashing into the other car.

Rider Airlifted after San Bernardino Motorcycle Accident at Navajo and Ramona

Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded to the incident and airlifted the injured rider to an out-of-area trauma center, the CHP said.

The drivers of the two vehicles were transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station is investigating the accident.
