Michael Saida Dies in Cerritos Car Crash on 605 Freeway near South Street

Cerritos, California (September 29, 2022) – Michael Saida, 64, of Buena Park, has been identified as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Cerritos.
The California Highway Patrol report indicated that the accident occurred around 8:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 605 Freeway near South Street.
Two sedans, a pickup truck and an armored Loomis truck were involved in the crash. However, the circumstances of the collision were not immediately determined.
Saida suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police issued a SigAlert blocking Nos. 1, 2, and HOV lanes following the incident.
No additional details about the crash were provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
