Michael Bernardo and Keandre Allums Killed in Car Accident on I-80 Freeway in Berkeley
Berkeley, California (September 13, 2021) – The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has disclosed the identities of two drivers who died after being hit by a vehicle in Berkeley on Sunday morning.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. September 12, on Interstate 80 Freeway near University Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
46-year-old Michael Bernardo, of Hercules, and 28-year-old Keandre Allums, of San Pablo, were driving their cars when they were involved in a collision on westbound I-80.
The two drivers and a female passenger in one of the cars exited the vehicle when they were struck by a Mini Cooper.

Ricardo and Allums died at the scene of the accident.
Then female passenger who was possibly hit by debris was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Mini Cooper remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
