Man and Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 near Butler Street in Red Bluff

Red Bluff, California (August 23, 2021) – A man and a woman were killed in a Sunday morning multi-vehicle collision that occurred near Los Molinos in Red Bluff.
The deadly crash happened on Highway 99 just north of Butler Street at around 7:35 a.m. August 22, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 59-year-old Hayward man was driving a 2009 Ford Focus northbound on Highway 99 when he entered the southbound lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a 2019 Isuzu driven by Nicholas Hall, 39, of Anderson.

The Ford continued northbound in the southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2007 Nissan Sentra driven by a 54-year-old Oroville woman.
The drivers of the Nissan and the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.
Hall and his passenger, 24-year-old Michael Zuhlke, of Red Bluff, were unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
