Man Seriously Injured in Riverside Car Crash at Wells Avenue and Kent Avenue
Riverside, California (May 7, 2022) – A man suffered major injuries after being struck by a car while riding a horse on Friday night in Riverside.
The accident was reported at around 9 p.m. in the area of Wells and Kent avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was riding a horse in the area when he was struck by a 1999 GMC Yukon traveling east on Wells Avenue.
The man was thrown from the horse and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The 44-year-old woman driving the vehicle was unhurt and remained at the scene of the accident.
Police say it’s unclear at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the accident.
