Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on 60 Freeway near Grand Avenue in Diamond Bar

Diamond Bar, California (August 1, 2021) – A man was killed in a car crash that left three other people injured in Diamond Bar on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal car crash happened at about 3 a.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway near Grand Avenue.
Three men were traveling in a Honda when they were involved in a solo crash.
Shortly after, 44-year-old Christian Lucero was driving a Nissan Armada when he crashed into the Honda that was disabled in the HOV lane.

The impact of the collision caused the Honda to overturn.
A 20-year-old man inside the Honda was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Honda, who has since been identified as 21-year-old Anthony Rodriguez, and his passenger, 20-year-old Juan Cortez, were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The Nissan driver was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
