Man Dies, Woman Injured in Oakland Car Crash at International Boulevard and Seminary Avenue
Oakland, California (August 23, 2021) – A man was killed and a woman was injured a traffic collision at an intersection in Oakland early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened at around 3: 15 a.m. August 22, in the area of International Boulevard and Seminary Avenue.
A 33-year-old Oakland was driving a Toyota Prius east on International Boulevard when, for unknown reasons, he collided with an Infiniti FX35 traveling south on Seminary Avenue.
The Prius then crashed into a building before coming to a stop.
Paramedics responded to the incident and pronounced the Toyota driver dead at the scene.
The Infiniti driver, a 20-year-old woman from Oakland, was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether alcohol and drugs prayed a role in the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
