Scooter Rider Injured in Highway 12 Crash near Highway 101 in Santa Rosa
Sonoma County, California (July 2, 2021) – A 51-year-old man riding a scooter was injured after being struck by a car in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, early Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at state Highway 12 and U.S. Highway 101 at about 3:30 a.m. July 1.
The man was reportedly riding a 2006 JMStar 150cc scooter eastbound on Highway 101 and was attempting to make a lane change when he was struck by a pickup truck.

The impact of the collision ejected the man from his scooter and was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.
Information about the pickup truck driver was not provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
