Shady Torres Arrested after Fatal Riverside County Car Accident at Day Street and Bay Avenue
Moreno Valley, California (June 4, 2021) – A woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly crash that claimed the life of Logan Edwards, a 17-year-old Winchester boy, on May 26 at an intersection in Moreno Valley.
The fatal car accident happened at the intersection of Day Street and Bay Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station established that Edwards was driving a silver 2012 Ford Edge through the intersection when a speeding 2014 Toyota Corolla t-boned him.
The impact of the crash sent the Ford off the roadway where it crashed into a fence.

Edwards succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla, Shady Pillar Torres, 25, of Moreno Valley, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
On Wednesday, June 2, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced that Torres had been arrested and booked into Riverside’s Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree murder. She was also charged with child endangerment and committing a felony while out on bail for a prior offense.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
