Moreno Valley, California (May 28, 2021) – 17-year-old Logan Edwards has been identified as the Winchester boy who was killed in a car crash in Moreno Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. May 26, at Day Street and Bay Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A 2014 Toyota Corolla reportedly drove through the intersection at a high rate of speed and crashed into the driver’s side of Edwards 2012 Ford Edge.

The impact of the collision sent the Ford off the roadway where it crashed into a fence of a residential property.

Edwards died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the Corolla was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The police closed Day Street, between Brill Road and Sherman Avenue, to allow the crews to clear the scene.
