Larry Dewaynee Kirven ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Edison Highway in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (June 26, 2021) – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has publicly identified the man who was killed in a Bakersfield motorcycle accident last week Wednesday.
The deadly collision occurred at about 4:55 a.m. June 16, in the 3600 block of Edison Highway near Sterling Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
38-year-old Larry Dewaynee Kirven Jr. was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Edison Highway when he was struck by a Ford SUV that was exiting a driveway at 3615 Edison Highway.
Man Killed in Edison Highway Motorcycle Accident in Bakersfield
Kirven Jr. was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to Kern Medical with major injuries.
Sadly, Kirven Jr died while undergoing treatment.
The driver of the Ford was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
