Lara Johnson and Gabriela Herrera Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Morongo Valley
Morongo Valley, California (June 18, 2021) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Morongo Valley on Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At about 9 p.m. on June 16, 20-year-old Frank Herrera of Joshua Tree was driving a blue 1998 Dodge Ram eastbound in the area and was making a left turn into a gas station when he was struck by a 2017 Silver Honda Civic that was traveling westbound.
23-year-old Gabriela Herrera who was riding in the Dodge was injured in the accident and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Civic, Lara Johnson, 32 of Palm Desert, was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
All parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
