Kelley Spencer Killed, Several Injured in Reseda Multi-Car Pileup at Corbin Avenue and Saticoy Street
Los Angeles, California (May 25, 2021) – A Woodland Hills man has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle in Reseda.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 8:05 p.m. May 23, on Corbin Avenue and Saticoy Street.
Kelley Reid Spencer, 28, was driving a black BMW M3 northbound on Corbin Avenue. A black 2015 Mini Cooper convertible driven by a male juvenile was also traveling northbound.
The CHP said a black 2013 Kia Optima had made a right turn from westbound Saticoy Street to northbound Corbin Avenue when it was struck by the Mini Cooper.
The Kia then collided with a gray 2016 Volkswagen Golf sedan that was heading south on Corbin.
Spencer came upon the crash and swerved to avoid the collision but ended up crashing into a blue 2008 Chevy Silverado that was traveling southbound Corbin Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevy to crash into some parked cars while the BMW disintegrated.
Man Killed in Reseda Car Accident on Corbin Avenue Identified
Spencer died at the scene of the accident, according to the authorities.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado was hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Mini Cooper, the driver of the Volkswagen, the driver of the Kia along with a passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
