Jesse Pearce Killed in Willits Highway 101 Car Crash near Cloverdale, Mendocino County
Willits, California (June 17, 2021) – Jesse David Pearce, 36, has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision involving his motorhome on Highway 101 in Willits on Tuesday morning.
The deadly collision happened at about 7 a.m. June 15, on Highway 101 near the Frog Woman Rock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Jesse Pearce, a resident of Sebastopol, was driving his U-Haul type motorhome north on Highway 101 when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Mack semi-truck driven by 43-year-old Jesus Jimenez, of Daly City.
The impact of the crash sent the big rig about 80 feet off the roadway and came to rest in a dry wash of the Russian River.

Pearce was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Jimenez was extricated from his big rig before being flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
A CHP investigation into the accident is underway.
