Jasmin Ramos Lopez Killed in Ventura Car Accident at Rose Avenue and Gonzales Road
Oxnard, California (July 20, 2021) – 13-year-old Jasmin Ramos Lopez has been identified by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office as the girl who was killed in a car crash at an intersection in Oxnard last week Tuesday.
The deadly collision happened at the intersection of Rose Avenue and Gonzales Road at about 2 p.m. on July 13, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 truck was traveling southbound on Rose Avenue when it collided with a 1999 Honda Civic that was making a left-hand turn from northbound Rose onto westbound Gonzales Avenue.
Girl Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at Rose and Gonzales in Oxnard Identified
Jasmin Lopez was in the front passenger seat of the Honda and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The girl’s mother who was driving the Honda, and his 17-year-old son in the backseat were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
The 36-year-old male driver of the Dodge and his passenger were unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
