Imogene Haley Killed in 210 Freeway Car Crash near Huntington Drive in Monrovia, Los Angeles
Monrovia, California (June 24, 2021) – 95-year-old Imogene Lea Haley, of Temple City, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner as the passenger who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Monrovia on Wednesday afternoon.
The fatal car crash happened on Interstate 210 Freeway near Huntington Drive at about 2:50 p.m. June 23, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 49-year-old Humberto Gonzalez, of Pacoima, was traveling on the carpool lane when it rear-ended a 2008 Lexus ES 350 that was slowing down for traffic.
The impact of the crash pushed the Lexus into a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck in front of it, triggering a chain reaction involving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2017 Mazda 3.

Lea Haley was riding in the Lexus and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The unidentified female driver of the Lexus was transported to the hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
Gonzales complained of pain and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Multiple other people were injured but the paramedics said the injuries did not appear major.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
