Humberto Gaytan Balderrama Killed in SR-14 Car Crash near Puritan Mine Road in Acton
Los Angeles, California (July 22, 2021) – Humberto Gaytan Balderrama, 48, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash on Highway 14 in Acton last week Friday.
The California Highway Patrol said the deadly crash happened on the northbound SR-14 north of Puritan Mine Road at about 1:15 a.m. July 16.
Balderrama, a resident of California City, was driving a 2002 Chevy pickup truck northbound on Highway 14 when he was rear-ended by a 2014 Buick driven by 35-year-old Roberto Deloya, of Palmdale.
The impact of the crash caused the Chevy to overturn.

Balderrama was killed in the accident, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office said.
A passenger in the Chevy was hospitalized with major injuries.
Balderama was arrested on murder charges and was booked into the county jail.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
