Homero Sanchez Killed in Crows Landing Road Car Crash near Monte Vista Avenue in Turlock
Turlock, California (June 21, 2021) – 64-year-old Homero C. Sanchez was injured in a suspected DUI car crash in Turlock on Saturday night, June 19, the California Highway Patrol said.
The fatal car crash happened on Crows Landing Road, just south of Monte Vista Avenue.
At about 8:30 p.m., Sanchez was driving a 2006 Honda Civic northbound on Crows Landing Road when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover driven by 26-year-old Mariel E. Castaneda, of Atwater.

Sanchez, a resident of Patterson, was seriously injured and was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Castaneda sustained major injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
The police believe intoxication was a factor in the accident.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
