Salvador Lopez, Lashon Gardner and Guadalupe Noriega Killed in San Bernardino Car Crash at Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue
San Bernardino, California (June 30, 2021) – The people who were killed after crashing head-on into a box truck in Rialto on Monday morning have been identified.
The deadly crash happened in the area of the 2500 block of South Riverside Avenue at Santa Ana Avenue at about 7:45 a.m. June 28, according to the California Highway Patrol.
26-year-old Guadalupe Noriega was driving a Nissan Altima southbound on Riverside Avenue when she clipped the rear Dodge Ram pickup truck in unclear circumstances. The Altima then veered left into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming box truck.

The police responded and found Noriega dead in her seat in the vehicle.
Two passengers in the Nissan, identified as 20-year-old Salvador Lopez of Fontana and 33-year-old Lashon Gardner of Barstow, were also killed in the crash.
A third passenger in the Altima, identified only as a 21-year-old woman, was seriously injured in the crash and was hospitalized in critical condition.
The occupants of the box truck and the pickup truck were unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
