1 Killed, 1 Injured after Small Plane Crash near Likely in Modoc County
Modoc County, California (June 22, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured after a small plane crashed in Likely on Sunday morning, the Modoc County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At about 9:20 a.m. June 19, the small plane took off from a field in a ranch in the area and crashed after failing to gain altitude.
NTSB Investigating Fatal Modoc County Plane Crash
65-year-old Frank Randell Bethel died at the scene of the accident.
The pilot, who has since been identified as 65-year-old Tim Harris, was seriously injured in the crash and was flown to Redding for medical treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the accident.
