Woman and 5 Children Injured in Highway 4 Car Accident near Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch

Contra Costa, California (July 30, 2021) – Five children and a woman were injured in a Thursday morning car crash on Highway 4 in Antioch, Contra Costa.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 near Hillcrest Avenue at about 7:06 a.m. July 29.
A Toyota Camry is reported to have collided with a van in unclear circumstances.
The female of the Camry was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by the firefighters before being transported to the hospital.

Five children in the Camry sustained minor to major injuries and were transported to the hospital. A 2-year-old is reported to have suffered a broken leg and was airlifted to a hospital.
The van driver was unhurt.
