Man Killed in Sacramento Scooter Accident on Business 80 near American River Bridge
Sacramento, California (July 4, 2021) – A man died after being hit by a car while riding an electric scooter in Sacramento early Saturday morning, July 3.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on northbound Business 80 near the American River Bridge at about 3 a.m.
The North Sacramento CHP office responded to the incident and found the rider unresponsive at the scene.

The 21-year-old Sacramento man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Nissan Altima was stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway. The police established that the car was traveling northbound on Business 80 in the No. 2 lane when it struck the victim.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
