Elanie Barraba Killed in 15 Freeway Car Crash near Oak Hills Road in Hesperia, San Bernardino

Hesperia, California (August 2, 2021) – Elanie Barraba has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as the four-month-old baby who was killed in a car crash in Hesperia on Sunday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened on Interstate 15 Freeway near Oak Hills Road at about 1:30 p.m. August 1, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Honda Accord occupied by three adults and two children is reported to have collided with a tractor trailer in unclear circumstances.
The impact of the crash caused the car to roll over multiple times before coming to a stop on its side along the shoulder of the freeway.

Barraba was transported to Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville where she died while undergoing treatment.
A young boy and one adult female were airlifted to area trauma centers for treatment.
