Eda Yadira Rojas-Joachin Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 43 near Munzer Road in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (August 12, 2021) – 48-year-old Eda Yadira Rojas-Joachin has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s office as the woman who was killed in a car crash that left two others injured in Bakersfield last week Tuesday.
The deadly collision happened on Highway 43 south of Munzer Road at about 5:05 a.m., August 10, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Juvencio Palma, of Taft, was driving a car northbound on Highway 43 when she drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle driven by Maria Mondragon, of Shafter.
Shafter Woman Killed in Bakersfield Car Accident on Highway 43 Identified
Rojas-Joachin, a resident of Shafter, was riding in Mondragon’s car and was killed in the accident.
Mondragon suffered minor injuries and was rushed to Kern Medical for treatment.
Palma suffered minor injuries and sought own medical aid.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the fatal crash accident.
