Riverside County, California (August 2, 2021) – One person was killed in a fiery collision involving a big rig in Phelan on Sunday morning.

The deadly crash happened on Highway 138 near Rastall Road, just north of the Cajon Pass.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig and a pickup truck collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.

The pickup truck burst into flames after the collision.

The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the San Bernardino County coroner.
