Visalia, California (June 29, 2022) – A motorist was killed in a collision involving a Caltrans vehicle in Visalia on Tuesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision was reported at around 3:47 p.m., June 28, at Highway 198 and Mooney Boulevard on-ramp.
The Caltrans truck had been parked on the shoulder of the highway when the woman’s sedan rear-ended it.
CHP said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident resulted in the closure of the highway to allow for an investigation.
No other information about the crash was available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
