Debra Arnette Jackson Killed in DUI Collision on Highway 99 near Mingo Road in Sacramento
Sacramento, California (July 19, 2021) – 65-year-old Debra Arnette Jackson has been identified as the woman who was killed in a car crash in Galt, Sacramento, on Sunday morning.
The fatal crash happened at about 5:14 a.m. July 18, on Highway 99 near Mingo Road, according to the California Highway Patro9l.
A preliminary investigation indicated that 25-year-old Estevan Mora, of Stockton, was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on Highway 99 when he allegedly made an unsafe turn and crashed into the center median and barriers.
A short time later, a 63-year-old woman from Ione driving a Toyota Corolla in the northbound lanes struck the debris and pulled over. Jackson was driving her Chevy Malibu when she also struck the metal debris and pulled over just behind the Corolla.

Jackson reportedly exited her vehicle and was struck by a 43-year-old Camry driver who had swerved to avoid hitting debris on the roadway, the CHP said.
Arnette Jackson, a resident of Galt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mora was determined to have been driving while under the influence and was arrested. He was booked into Sacramento County Jail.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
