Rialto, California (June 9, 2022) – Daniel Montano, 42, of Rialto, was killed Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly ran the red light at an intersection in Rialto and collided with another vehicle.
The accident happened at around 3:11 p.m. at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Country Club Drive.
According to the police report, Montano was driving a red Toyota Tacoma and had been involved in a crash and was fleeing when he drove through the red light and slammed into another vehicle.
The impact of the crash caused the Tacoma to overturn, and Montano was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman who was driving the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
