Daniel Guerrero Dies in Alleged Street Racing Accident in South Gate Sunday Evening

Cudahy Man Daniel Guerrero Killed in South Gate Crash on Firestone Boulevard near Alameda Street 

South Gate, California (May 19, 2021) – A man from Cudahy was killed in a crash that authorities are investigating as a suspected street racing incident in South Gate Sunday evening.

According to South Gate police, a Dodge Charger and a BMW were suspected to have been racing when one of them collided with another car on Firestone Boulevard near Alameda Street.

The incident occurred at around 7:45 p.m. May 16.

The driver of the car that was struck was identified as Daniel Guerrero, 23, of Cudahy.

Guerrero died at the site of the accident after his car caught fire.

The second driver involved in the collision was also killed in the accident.

The authorities have not released the identity of the second driver.

The incident is under investigation.
