Bicyclist Dies after Huntington Beach Crash at Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue
Huntington Beach, California (August 9, 2021) – 75-year-old Clinton Silverman has been identified as the man who died after being hit by a vehicle while riding a tandem bicycle in Huntington Beach alongside his wife on Sunday morning.
At about 8:50 a.m. August 8, the California Highway Patrol and the Huntington Beach police received reports of a bicycle accident near Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue.
The officers established that Clinton and his wife were riding a tandem bicycle in the area and were hit by a 2005 Ford Explorer.
Man Killed in Orange County Bicycle Crash at Magnolia and Hamilton Identified
Clinton and his wife were seriously injured in the collision and were taken to an area hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Intoxication was ruled out as a factor in the crash.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
