Lake County, California (August 5, 2021) – Brittany Marie Turner, 31, has been identified as the Ukiah woman who was killed in a Saturday afternoon head-on collision in Clear Lake.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office, the deadly collision happened at about 2:50 p.m. July 31, on Highway 20 west of Blue Lakes Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Turner was driving a 1997 Mazda Protege sedan eastbound on Highway 20 with 34-year-old Patrick Turner of Ukiah riding as her passenger.

For unknown reasons, Turner allowed her car to drift into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 18-year-old Robert Fetzer of Redwood Valley.
Both vehicles came to a stop within the westbound lane.
Brittany was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, the CHP said.
Patrick was not wearing a seatbelt and was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The police ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash.
