Boy Injured in Two-Car Accident at Golden State Boulevard and Griffith Avenue in Turlock
Turlock, California (July 18, 2021) – A 3-year-old boy was injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Turlock near the Merced County border on Saturday night, July 17.
At about 8:38 p.m. the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car accident at Golden State Boulevard and Griffith Avenue.
A preliminary investigation established that a black sedan and a Chevy pickup truck were involved in the collision. The manner in which the accident happened, however, was not immediately established.

A 3-year-old boy riding in the Chevy was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.

According to the CHP, the 25-year-old driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries in the accident. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
