Long Beach Man Killed in Artesia Motorcycle Accident on Artesia (91) Freeway near Shoemaker Avenue
Artesia, California (May 30, 2021) – The authorities have publicly identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a bus early Sunday morning in Artesia.
The crash occurred on the westbound side of Artesia (91) Freeway near Shoemaker Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 2:35 a.m., 37-year-old Anthony Tyrone Boyd Jr. of Long Beach was riding a motorcycle on the roadway when he crashed into a party bus for unknown reasons.
Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Party Bus on Artesia Freeway Identified
Tyrone Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
It is unknown if the bus driver, who has been identified as 61-year-old Padashi Cyrus of Arcadia, was injured.
No arrests were made.
No additional information was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
