Anne Marie Anderson and Andreu Shawne Bartholic Killed in Collision on Highway 101 in Garberville
Humboldt County, California (June 17, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol has disclosed the identities of two people who were killed in a traffic collision in Garbeville on Monday.
The deadly crash happened on Highway 101, just north of Myers Flat at around 4:29 p.m., according to the California Highway.
A silver Toyota 4-Runner driven by 25-year-old Andreu Shawne Bartholic from Eureka was traveling northbound on Highway 101 when it crossed over the yellow lines and into the path of a motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist, 42-year-old Anne Marie Anderson from Vancouver, Washington, was killed in the accident.
Bartholic was also killed in the collision.
A passenger on the motorcycle, 38-year-old Caleb Marquez of Portland, Oregon, was transported to St.Joseph Hospital with moderate injuries.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
