Allen Hunter ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Collision on PCH at Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach, San Diego
Solana Beach, California (June 30, 2021) – 75-year-old Allen Hunter has been identified by the San Diego County Medical examiner as the man who was killed in a bicycle accident last week in Solana Beach.
At about 10:34 a.m. on June 22, Hunter was riding his bicycle on South Coast Highway 101 near Lomas Santa Fe Drive when he was struck from behind by a car.
Hunter, a resident of San Diego, was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla where he died while undergoing treatment.

The involved driver, who has since been identified as 21-year-old Lucas Beau Morgans of Solano Beach, drove away after hitting the bicyclist but was arrested about six miles from the scene.
Morgans was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, felony hit and run resulting in death or injury and felony DUI causing great bodily injury.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
