Aimee Guadalupe Garcia Killed in Wrong-Way Car Crash on Highway 101 in Encino
Encino, California (August 14, 2021) – Aimee Guadalupe Garcia, 25, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a wrong-way car crash in Encino on Thursday night.
The crash happened on the 101 Freeway near the San Diego (405) Freeway at about 7:10 p.m. August 12.
Cesar Iban Torres, 31, is reported to have driven into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a big rig.

Aimee was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Torres and the couple’s four children, ages 8 to 18 months, survived.
The driver of the big rig, Jose Garcia Lopez, 56, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene.
Torres was uncooperative and was tased after he attacked officers. He was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and resisting arrest.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
