Sacramento, California (June 1, 2022) – Aaron Price, 38, of San Ramon, was killed and four other people were hospitalized after a head-on collision on Sunday night in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 10:21 p.m. on Highway 160 near the Antioch Bridge.

According to the CHP, Price was driving under the influence and had drifted into opposite traffic, and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

Price was killed in the crash, and three children in his car, ages 15, 6, and 4, suffered severe injuries.

The driver of the other car, a 70-year-old woman, also sustained major injuries.

Firefighters from Solano and Sacramento counties responded to the crash along with an H-32 Helicopter.

One child was flown to Children’s Hospital Oakland, and another was taken to UC Davis.

The third child and the female driver were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.

One of the vehicles overturned due to the impact of the crash and burst into flames.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
