Pacoima, California (May 28, 2021) – At least seven people were injured after an Amtrak train crashed into an unoccupied vehicle in Pacoima on Friday morning.

At around 11 a.m. an Amtrak train crashed into a vehicle parked on tracks at San Fernando Road and Paxton Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The train was carrying 10 passengers at the time of the accident.

Ambulances were sent to the scene and seven people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
