6 Injured in Pedestrian Accident at Girard Street and Menlo Avenue in Hemet
Riverside, California (October 10, 2022) – Six people were injured in a pedestrian accident that happened on Saturday night in Hemet.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 11 p.m. at Girard Street and Menlo Avenue.
The victims had just left a party in the area and were about to get into a car when another vehicle struck theirs.
Two women were trapped underneath the pickup truck and had to be extricated by the first responders.
Six people, including a six-year-old, were injured in the accident and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The motorist, Kody Ray Cihal, was arrested and charged with DUI, child endangerment among other crimes.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
