Four People, Including a 5-Year-Old Child, Injured in Head-On Collision on Jamacha Boulevard in Spring Valley, San Diego

San Diego, California (June 7, 2021) – Four people, including a 5-year-old child, were killed in a violent head-on collision in the Spring Valley area of San Diego on Monday morning.
The 9:45 a.m. crash happened on Jamacha Boulevard near Kempton Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 29-year-old San Diego woman and her 5-year-old passenger were traveling eastbound on Jamacha in a 2006 Nissan Altima when they collided head-on with a westbound 2004 Saturn SUV that drifted into the eastbound lanes.
The impact of the crash sent the Saturn off the roadway when it crashed into a parked vehicle.

The woman sustained severe injuries and was transported to a trauma center for treatment.
A juvenile, a 46-year-old Descanso man who was driving the Saturn SUV, and a 37-year-old Spring Valley man who was riding in the SUV were also hospitalized with moderate to serious injuries.
The authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
