3 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Riverside Avenue near Santa Ana Avenue in Rialto
San Bernardino, California (June 29, 2021) – Three people were killed in a head-on collision involving a box truck in Rialto on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 7:45 a.m. June 28, in the 2500 block of South Riverside Avenue near Santa Ana Avenue.
A Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Riverside Avenue approaching Santa Ana Avenue when the sedan made a turn and clipped the back of a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The Nissan Altima then crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a box truck.

The female driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Two passengers in the sedan were also killed in the accident.
A fourth passenger in the Altima was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
