3 People Die, 1 Injured in Fresno Car Crash at Floral and Cedar Avenues
Fresno, California (September 19, 2022) – Three people were killed and another was injured in a fiery collision that occurred at an intersection in Fresno County on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the area of Floral and Cedar Avenues at about 1:45 p.m.
CHP said an SUV was traveling westbound on Floral Avenue when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into a flatbed truck which was heading southbound on Cedar Avenue.
The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to catch fire.
Three people in the SUV were unable to get out of the burning vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
Roads in the area of crash were closed for several hours following the incident.
