2 Injured in Car Accident at West Griffith Way and North West Avenue in Fresno
Fresno, California (July 1, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a car crash in central Fresno on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened 3:34 p.m. June 30, at West Griffith Way and North West Avenue.
A preliminary investigation established that a silver four-door sedan was traveling eastbound on Griffith Way and was making a left turn onto northbound West when it was hit by a black four-door Audi traveling southbound on West.
Driver Critically Injured in Two-Car Crash at Fresno Intersection
The Audi appeared to have run a red light at the intersection.
The sedan driver sustained major injuries in the crash and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
