2 Seriously Injured in Madera Collision at Avenue 12 and Road 34 ½
Madera County, California (July 1, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened on Thursday afternoon in Madera County.
The accident happened just before 3 p.m. near Avenue 12 and Road 34 ½, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials say a Saturn sideswiped a Dodge Caliber, causing the Dodge to spin out of control before eventually stopping.
The impact of the collision sent the Saturn into the opposite lanes where it collided head-on with an oncoming Chevy Traverse. The Chevy overturned after the collision.
One person in the Saturn was seriously injured in the crash and was flown to Community Regional Medical Center while another was transported to a hospital in Madera with major injuries.
Three people in the Chevy, including two children, were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
