2 Killed in 110 Freeway Car Accident near Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California (August 2, 2021) – A suspected drunk driver has been arrested following a fatal car crash that occurred on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles on Sunday morning, August 1.
The collision occurred on the 110 Freeway near Slauson Avenue at about 4:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
30-year-old Wamervee Walton was driving a 2017 Buick Regal when he broadsided a 2014 Hyundai Elantra occupied by a 43-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman.

The two occupants of the Hyundai were killed in the accident. Their names were not immediately disclosed pending the notification of the next of kin.
Walton was determined to have been driving while under the influence and was arrested.
